Global Village program
“Global Village participants are among the very best advocates we have for decent, affordable housing, because they have experienced Habitat at its most grassroots level, embraced – by virtue of their own labor – the principles and mission that shape it, and demonstrated in a very practical way their earnest love for their neighbor in need. They are far from complacent and reflect the very partnership core on which the Habitat model is based”.
Jonathan Reckford, CEO, Habitat for Humanity International
The Habitat for Humanity International Global Village program offers short-term house-building trips that provide concerned volunteers the opportunity to get involved with Habitat’s work firsthand. Team members work alongside members of the host community and get to know another culture in a way very few can.
Global Village volunteers have the opportunity to participate in local cultural activities, help raise awareness of the burden of poverty housing and, of course, further Habitat’s mission to build decent, affordable housing worldwide.
As partners, team members help build a true global village of love, homes, communities and hope!
You will contribute to change poor people’s life, but the trip may change yours too!!!
